Bard College
selects Aimee J. Frank to join its grant-writing effort
Aimee will become a grant writer for the Program Development Office
of Bard College. That office seeks scholarship, program, and capital
funding from foundations, corporations, and state and federal government.
Aimee will be joining a staff of three grant writers, a researcher,
and the dean. In addition to her grant writing, her work will include
grant reseach and reporting, and developing grant-seeking strategy.

Ternate, Indonesia tourism
officials host scuba diving group
Aimee and Ken received VIP
treatment from Ternate officials when they ended our most recent
scuba diving trip to Indonesia on this beautiful island best known
for its role as one of the spice islands.
Several local newspapers
covered our group's visit to the Sultan's Palace, where we had the
opportunity to view the rarely displayed crown jewels.

Aimee J. Frank wins grant for local land trust
A grant proposal Aimee wrote for the Esopus
Creek Conservancy secured $12,300 from New York's Hudson River
Estuary Grant program. The funds will pay for a biodiversity study
of the plant and wildlife habitats on the 156-acre Esopus Bend Nature
Preserve, located in Saugerties, New York.
A field biologist will be hired to assess and map the habitats,
providing the conservancy information to make sound stewardship
decisions, including the development of a property management plan,
trail locations and educational programs to be offered at the preserve.

Omega Institute selects Aimee J. Frank for catalogue copy
We are pleased to welcome the Omega
Institute for holistic studies as new clients. Aimee has been
asked to write about Omega's commitment to environmental sustainability,
evidenced through the school's conservation achievements and support
for local agricultural producers. The school’s newest
project is the construction of a Living Machine, a wastewater treatment
facility which relies on natural processes to cleanse and purify
waste water. Omega offers workshops and retreats on a lovely campus
in Rhinebeck, New York. January 5, 2006
Aimee J. Frank secures grant for local conservation organization
A grant Aimee wrote for the Esopus
Creek Conservancy secured $10,000 from the Hudson River Valley
Greenway. The money will be used to build bridges across two streams
at the Esopus Bend Preserve, making the trails more accessible to
the public while protecting the fragile stream banks.
